Dr. John, Soulive, and Kermit Ruffins will headline this year’s festival, which channels the rich jazz of New Orleans where Armstrong was born and came into his own as one of the greatest and most influential jazz trumpeters.
The festival’s Backyard Bash features family friendly activities throughout the park and DJ sets in the Queens Museum, recreating the memorable garden parties that Louis hosted for his friends and neighbors at his home in Corona where he lived for almost 30 years.
